During February 13-17, 2023, COERR with Enfants du Mekong Volunteer organized a visit to the Sponsored Children in Sakaew Province’s Aranyaprathet and Tapraya Districts, and Surin Province’s Prasat District.

   The aim of the visit was to see their living condition and provide moral support to the children after COVID-19 crisis.

   The volunteer and school teachers participated in many activities and games with the sponsored children such as remembering names of friends, dividing into groups of 5 members pulling strings that tie 1 pen and altogether pull the strings in the same direction to write a word; a hula hoop passing game, box towering competition, etc. These team-building games and activities helped children focus and made them joyful.

   Later, on February 19, 2023, COERR together with Enfants du Mekong volunteer and a sponsor paid a visit to a university’s student under Child Sponsorship Program in Bangkok.

   At present, COERR and Enfants du Mekong has 223 sponsored children, studying in Primary, Secondary, High School and University levels, in the following Provinces:

   146 students in schools in Sakaew Province’s Aranyaprathet and Tapraya Districts

   23 students in schools in Surin Province’s Prasat District

   30 students in schools in Bangkok and

   24 students in Ban Mae Surin Temporary shelter and Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary shelter in Mae Hong Son’s Sob Moei and Muang Districts, respectively.
